:  With grievous, terrible wounds still visible, the Battlehewn are those warrior dead, fallen on the field of battle, their bodies neither buried nor burnt, who have yet to find rest.  Dark unliving shades bearing rusted swords and rotting armor, it is whispered that the force which quickens them is the Darkoath itself.   For these turned away whenever the fight was thickest, or threw down shields and fled until an arrow, or a lance in the back, rewarded their cowardice.  But no matter what binding has raised them to unlife, such wraiths seek restlessly for oblivion, that all memory of life and honor may, at last, be extinguished.
