Defenders of the Tower eschew common archery in favor of the crossbow, valuing the weapon for its ability to penetrate heavy armor and put down stronger foes: ogres, trolls, giants and the like, with fewer bolts.  To further increase their effectiveness, Tower Crossbowman learn to cast simple cantrips on their arms, chanting spell words meant to increase their range, accuracy, and striking force.
