Every city has its poorer quarters, and its poorer children.  Many of these must learn early how to fend for themselves.  Coin is always to be had, just so long as you don’t run afoul of the City Guard or the Master of Alleys.  And what of it if the occasional purse need be snipped, or a drunken throat cut?  There are worse livings for a boy, or a girl, with few fortunes to speak of.
