Where once the dead were buried, more often now they are burned, or, if buried, stripped of all they once wore. This for fear of what they might become, or rather what might become of their clothes. Ragmen, creatures shaped from the bloody articles once worn by the dead, are among the worst of fears that now stalk the living.  A mage with the necrotic power to make them rise and spread across the land is called a Ragmancer.
