While mercurial in temperament and prone to mischief, Seelie sprites, the smallest of the fairy kind, are seldom known to bring harm unless first given offense.  They are even likely to return a kindness or a favor given – such as a plump mushroom set down as a gift.  Sprites are fiercely protective of the things they love, such as a particular flower patch or small pond.  Though tiny enough to ride bee back, they are also adept casters of illusions and enchantments, thus not to be trifled with.
